Sorva Custom Drums - snares are mainly made as custom orders. This allows us to make a snare of the desired depth from the desired material in virtually 1/2 or even 1/4 inch increments, between 4.5 "and 7". In addition, the customer can choose different surface treatments, such as chrome plating, powder coating, patination or varnishing. When building that snare of your desires, you will still choose your favorite lugs, throw-off, wires and hoops. This creates a drum which pleases both the sound and the appearance of the drum.

As a small boutique manufacturer, we want to offer quality drums for drummers, which can also be customized according to your own needs and preferences.

The shell material options are copper, aluminium, brass or cast bronze. Each material has its own sound, tone / musicality. A good drum works with different tunings and can also be transformed to suit different situations with drumhead choices.

Metal snare drums can be made with several different techniques. One of the most commonly used techniques, especially in mass production, is to rotate the metal by hand or most often mechanically into a cylinder and then weld the seam to connect the metal ends.

However, the welded seam always slightly interferes with the vibration of the drum and air movement inside the drum. As a result, a drum made with a welded seam is not as full in sound and tone as a seamless drum.

Our shells are seamless and are made by deep drawing or casting. The advantage of seamless shells is a full and musical sound.
